Retreats

Thank You For Your Interest In Waterfall Sanctuary!

We are located an hour's drive west of the Portland Airport, at the end of a dead-end road and we border the Gifford Pinchot National Forest on two sides, hence nature and privacy are abundant.

Closeby is a "locals only" swimming hole on the Wind River, I will happily share the location with you and your retreat guests.
A little further down is the Pacific Crest Trail, with a horse bridge crossing the Wind River.

We are also within a twenty-five-minute drive to Panther Creek Falls, a fifteen-minute drive to the trailhead for the Falls Creek Falls, and much more.
There are limitless options for exploring the local trails, rivers, waterfalls, and all the other abundant natural beauty surrounding Waterfall Sanctuary.

Other local resources close by include a gas station, drive-through coffee shops, a small grocery store in Carson next to Backwoods Brewery with a larger one only 5 minutes further in Stevenson, restaurants, shops with locally made ware, a distillery, Saturday Farmer's Market on the waterfront in Stevenson, Carson Hot Springs, and much more.

For all additional questions, feel free to email us.

Accommodations

The Retreat & Lodgings

We can accommodate up to thirty-two guests in our various lodgings.
The breakdown is as follows:

Bloom House (Site 7) can host two people in the Queen bedroom, three people in the bunk bedroom (two bunks and a trundle), and one person in the living room on the fold-down futon.
The cabin can host two on a King Bed, and each 20' tent (sites 1, 3, 4, and 5) can sleep five (one King bed and three twin beds). The 16' tent (site 2) can host four (one king bed and two twin beds).

Inside Bloom House

A kitchen and small dining area your caterer or chef can use, equipped with dishware and utensils for up to eight people, mixing bowls, measuring spoons and cups, strainer, knives, miscellaneous utensils, can opener, and wine bottle opener, a stovetop, and oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with a small freezer, a coffee pot, pots and pans, dish rack, soap, sponges, dish towels, rags, and cleaning supplies under the sink.
Your caterer or chef will want to bring any other kitchen implements they need for food prep. You will also need to bring enough dishware and utensils, serving platters, bowls, etc.

We have six folding tables that seat six people each and folding chairs available to add to your booking (if you want them included) or you can supply your own. There are also multiple restaurants and caterers in the area I can connect you to if you don't have your own since we currently do not provide in-house catering or food.

The living room can be used for classes, sessions, meditation, yoga, or anything else you would like during your stay.
There are several options for bathroom facilities. The bathroom in Bloom House has a toilet, sink, and shower. The other option is the bathroom building located centrally to the tents with a hot water shower, foot pump sink, and toilet. There are also 2 porta-potties located in other convenient places on the property in case the other bathrooms are in use.

On the property is a small trail perfect for walking mediations, resting, and exploring.
There is also a fairy garden and a small play area for children. The goat pen is home to our four very sweet and friendly Nigerian Dwarf Goats, seven ducks, and four chickens (with another twenty-one chickens that free-range around the property). Goat therapy sessions can be added to your package for your guests or they can add it individually. Wildlife is abundant on the property as well as butterflies, moths, and pollinators who are attracted to all the native flowers that grow wild all over.

As a gift for you and your guests, you will receive a curated packet upon arrival with the Gorge Magazine, brochures and coupons for activities and stores in the area, a list of restaurants, etc., and directions to different trails and scenic areas, all inside a reusable bag.

Kind Words From Our Campers

An Absolute Gem!

Samantha T.

"This place is STUNNING and outrageously cute inside and out. We were super lucky and had the place to ourselves, so we had the perfect quiet weekend we hoped for. Tyla went above and beyond to accommodate us, replied very quickly, and was overall a sweetheart! The trail around her property is just lovely, and getting to meet the freerange chickens was a hoot. We can't wait to come back!!."

Highly Recommended

Alejandro G.

"Highly recommend! My party and I left very happy with our experience. Tyla is an amazing host who took the time to recommend restaurants/activities in the area. The bathrooms were kept up. During the day it can get hot in the Yurt so just plan for that. We will definitely be back!"

Beautiful Property

Clarice C.

"We love Tyla’s land. My son thinks the fairy garden is the coolest, as well as visiting the goats and chickens. This was our second visit, and we’ll be back."
